Vintage Market Days of the NC Triangle Presents: “Home for the Holidays”

If you’re a sucker for vintage shopping, you don’t want to miss the “Home for the Holidays” in the Vintage Market. More than 100 curated vendors from all over the country will present to you their best products, like antiques, clothing, jewelry, handmade treasures, and much more. Find the perfect holiday gift this weekend. The entrance is cheaper every day that passes but don’t get too overconfident because probably the best items will be out of stock.

75th Annual ABC11 Raleigh Christmas Parade

Date: November 23

The largest Christmas Parade between Washington, DC, and Atlanta awaits for you this November 23. Downtown Raleigh is going to be crowded with approximately 60,000 people surrounding the streets and another estimated 250,000 will watch the parade broadcast live on TV. This event is for the whole family and marks the beginning of the holidays for the Triangle locals. Don’t miss it!

Annual North Hills Tree Lighting

Date: November 23

Free for all to see, this year North Hills Tree Lighting promises to be an unforgettable holiday experience. Santa Claus will appear at 6:00 PM, right before the chorus starts singing “Santa Claus is coming to town” as the 41 foot Christmas Tree is being lit up. Also, there will be snow slopes, trackless train rides, kids’ crafts and activities, a bounce house, and a vendor village. Write it down on your calendar!

Pilgrims at Play

Date: November 27

What is the best way a kid learns? Playing, of course! Feed your kid’s curiosity and imagination with this outdoor educational program. Children will learn to talk like a pilgrim, play 17th-century games, and make a Thanksgiving food collage. Parents are welcome to stay; however, this is a drop off program. 

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical

Dates: From November 29 to December 24

The beloved TV classic is brought to life as a musical! Don’t miss the opportunity to watch this lovely Christmas story. It’ll be fun for everyone, from little children excited by the holidays to nostalgic adults who watched the TV show as kids. If you know the story of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, you also know the moral: sometimes what makes us different makes us special. A valuable lesson for children to learn.

Holiday Express

Dates: From December 5 to December 15

A Raleigh holiday tradition. Pullen Park shines with thousands of festive lights, a train ride, local entertainment, a carousel ride, and other wonderful attractions for kids and parents to enjoy. From 4 to 9 PM nightly, during the first half of December, you can visit this magical place and make a visit to Santa, who will be delightful to hear your children’s gift wishes.
